Welcome to the FC Insights Core Plays and Cheat Sheet Article for Yahoo.
In this post, we will be breaking down our top options and plays for Yahoo for each night of the 2019-2020 NBA DFS season.
I am going right back to the well with Doncic tonight as my player to spend up for as he had yet another huge game despite not playing the fourth quarter. In his 28 minutes last night, Doncic had 33 points, 18 rebounds, and five assists on his way to 58.10 fantasy points. That was the 12th time in his past 13 games that Doncic has produced at least 50 fantasy points. Tonight we should expect Doncic to easily hit that mark as the match-up against the Wolves is an elite one. The Wolves play at the fourth-fastest pace in the NBA while allowing the fifth-most fantasy points per game to point guards this season. This game currently also has the highest projected total on the slate at 231.5 with no other game having a projected total over 225 tonight.
If you want to play De’Anthony Melton in this spot for the same salary as Jones I am not going to fault you for it as Melton is playing great. For me, I prefer the player that is playing more minutes and that is Jones. In the three games that Ja Morant has missed this season, Jones is averaging 28 minutes a game while Melton is only averaging 22.6 minutes. Jones is not just playing more minutes but he is also producing at a nice level with averages of 9.3 points, three rebounds, seven assists, and 25.77 fantasy points in those three games.
This might be a bit of a gut call tonight with Turner but I really like him tonight. Turner has had a slow start to the season due to injuries and the depth at the wing positions for the Hawks but is coming off one the better games of his season last time out. In that blowout win against the Warriors, Turner played 20 minutes and had 19.70 fantasy points. Tonight with all of the injuries the Hawks are dealing with especially with the injury to De’Andre Hunter I expect we see Turner play similar if not more minutes tonight and I don’t see why we wouldn’t see similar production.
Saric is really underpriced in my eyes for the way he is playing. Saric has four straight games with at least 30 minutes played and is averaging 15 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, and two steals+blocks. Saric has at least 27 fantasy points in each of those games and is averaging 37.4 fantasy points during this stretch. With the Suns expected to be shorthanded upfront once again tonight I don’t see a reason why Saric doesn’t play over 30 minutes again and I don’t see a reason why he wouldn’t be able to have another solid outing.
