Welcome to the FC Insights Core Plays and Cheat Sheet Article for DraftKings.
In this post, we will be breaking down our top options and plays for DraftKings for each night of the 2019-2020 NBA DFS season.
I hope people are scared off Mudiay tonight after being burned by Dennis Smith Jr. in a similar situation a couple of nights ago as I doubt that Mudiay bombs like Smith did. The reason why I doubt that Mudiay bombs tonight is the fact he is sporting a fantasy point per minute rate of 0.93 this season and is in a great match-up against the Lakers. While the Lakers have been a tough defensive team overall they have struggled against point guards allowing the eighth-most fantasy points per game to point guards this season.
Melton has played great the past two games with Ja Morant out. In those games, Melton is averaging 12.5 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and 1.5 steals+blocks in 23.8 minutes of action. Melton has at least 32 fantasy points in each of those games and is averaging 29.92 fantasy points in three games that Morant has missed this season. Tonight I am expecting a similar output from Melton in a great match-up against the Bulls.
I am very interested to see if Kristaps Porzingis plays tonight in the back-to-back. This is only the Mavs second back-to-back of the season and he did sit out the first one. If Porzingis is ruled out I am locking Kleber tonight as he would get a huge boost. Even if Porzingis plays I still will have a lot of interest in Kleber as he has three straight games with at least 18 fantasy points for the Mavs and is in the game that I want to target the most as the Wolves-Mavs game has the highest projected total on this slate by six points.
In his past five games, Adams is averaging 14.2 points, 8.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.4 blocks. Adams has at least 34 fantasy points in four of those five games including back-to-back games with at least 39 fantasy points. Tonight I am expecting a similar performance from the big man as he takes on the Pacers. This season the Pacers are allowing the fourth-most fantasy points per game to centers.
Please note that we can only list a player at one position on the cheat sheets and unless otherwise noted I like the player at both of their eligible positions.
