Welcome to the FC Insights Core Plays and Cheat Sheet Article for DraftKings.
In this post, we will be breaking down our top options and plays for DraftKings for each night of the 2019-2020 NBA DFS season.
Why is Barton just barely over $6,000 in salary on DraftKings tonight? I really don’t know the answer to that question but I am going to take advantage of his low salary as I feel he should be much higher with the way he has played this season especially over his past three games. In those three games, Barton is averaging 17.7 points, 9.3 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and a steal. Barton has at least 40 fantasy points in each of those three games.
I am not expecting Danuel House to suit up tonight which should mean we see McLemore get his sixth start of the season. In his previous five starts, McLemore is averaging 17.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.2 steals. McLemore has at least 18 fantasy points in each of those starts and is averaging 29.45 fantasy points per game during this stretch. McLemore has not only played well as a starter this season but the match-up against the Spurs is one I love to target small forwards against as saying the Spurs have struggled to defend the position would be an understatement. This season the Spurs are allowing the seventh-most points per game, second-most rebounds per game, and third-most fantasy points per game to small forwards.
Birch was dud in his first couple of games after taking over for Nikola Vucevic in the Magic’s starting lineup but has woken up over the past several games. In his past three games, Birch is averaging 6.3 points, nine rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.7 blocks. Birch has at least 19 fantasy points in each of those three games and has back-to-back games with at least 26 fantasy points. Tonight we should expect Birch to continue his solid play as he is in an elite match-up against the Wizards. This season the Wizards have the worst defensive net rating, the second-worst team rebounding rate, and are allowing the second-most points per game to centers.
I don’t understand why Davis is under $10,00 in salary tonight as he has not had a bad game since the blowout victory against the Hawks eight games ago. Since that game, Davis is averaging 28.9 points, 9.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists, two steals, and 2.1 blocks. Davis has at least 47 fantasy points in each of those seven games and is averaging 55.43 fantasy points per game during this stretch. While the Nuggets are never a good match-up for any team due to the fact that they play at the slowest pace in the NBA and have the best defensive net rating this season I don’t see them being the team that slows Davis down.
Please note that we can only list a player at one position on the cheat sheets and unless otherwise noted I like the player at both of their eligible positions.
