Welcome to the FC Insights Core Plays and Cheat Sheet Article for Yahoo.
In this post, we will be breaking down our top options and plays for Yahoo for each night of the 2019-2020 NBA DFS season.
Ja Morant is out for tonight’s contest and that makes Jones a must play as he should get the start. In his two previous starts, Jones is averaging 13 points, 7.5 assists, three rebounds, and 1.5 steals in 26.5 minutes of action. Jones produced at least 28 fantasy points in both of those games. Jones is not just going to get the huge boost with Morant out but I also love the match-up against the Pacers. The Pacers have been struggling on the defensive end of the court lately and over their past seven games, they are allowing the sixth-most fantasy points per game to point guards.
PG-Dennis Smith Jr.-$10
Frank Ntilikina left yesterday’s contest after only playing seven minutes and that lead to Smith getting a chance to show what he can do. In his 38 minutes, Smith went for 17 points and seven assists on his way to 32.7 fantasy points. With Ntilikina not likely to play tonight we should see Smith play well over 30 minutes once again and I don’t see why we wouldn’t see him threaten 30 fantasy points as he was able to hit that mark in the only other game he played 30 minutes this season as well.
LaVine has really stepped up his game since he got in a public dispute with his coach. In the four games since that incident, LaVine is averaging 32.8 points, four rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 2.6 steals+blocks. LaVine has at least 45 fantasy points in three of those four games. With the Kings being an average defensive team I don’t see why we see LaVine suddenly slow down in this one.
Robin should be filling in for his brother Brook for the second straight game tonight. In the last game that Brook missed, Robin played 24 minutes with 13 points, six rebounds, four assists, and three blocks on his way to 33.2 fantasy points. Tonight we should see Lopez played more minutes as that last game was a blowout and I would expect similar production even in a tough match-up against the Knicks. At his salary, Lopez is an absolute steal especially when you factor in the lack of great options at the center position tonight.
