Sharing core plays and a cheat sheet for the November 30, 2019, NBA DFS slate on FanDuel.
Welcome to our NBA Core Plays & Cheat Sheet column for FanDuel.
We’ll be sharing this article with you for all key slates (2 games+) over the course of the 2019-2020 NBA season. Hope you enjoy!
Core Plays – Main Slate
SG – James Harden, HOU vs ATL, $11,500
This is just about as elite of a moment as it gets to get The Beard. Not only is ATL a sieve defensively against just about all positions, but the league-leader in usage (38.7%) and tremendous distribution metrics (38.1% AST%) for a SG should absolutely feast tonight. In fact, even on a 3 game slate we have 3 of the top 5 usage rate names in the NBA so far this year.
Our FC model has him projected for over 62 FanDuel points at the moment in 37,.5 minutes of action, and this feels more than doable given how short-handed the Rockets are and the fact their club was absent on last night’s massive post-Thanksgiving slate. He should be popular in all formats on a 3 game slate (50%+ own% expected), but makes for a tremendous target in all contests.
PF – Jabari Parker, ATL @ HOU, $7,400
I’m wanting tons of exposure to both teams in this game, and Parker is right at the top of my list when it comes to Hawks to have in my lineup (Trae Young, too). For Parker, he continues to play heavy minutes, and in high-scoring games, he typically sees mid-20s usage in addition to scoring a nice chunk of points and contributing both on the glass (B2B games with 10+ boards) and in the steals department (2+ in 8 of his last 9 games). The price isn’t cheap, but it’s not expensive when you think about the 40+ FP upside he brings to the table here with a 30 point floor.
These are two of the best values on the slate in my eyes tonight, as they sit at $7,200 combined and can easily fill up your SG2 and PF2 slots in an elite game for exposure. With all the illnesses and injuries currently plaguing the Rockets, these 2 guys are expected to play 22-25 minutes as a floor, and garbage time could only help the cause in this regard should it get out of hand early. They should see mid-teens usage for the most part, and Clark’s last game with 29 minutes and 29.1 FP is encouraging given Clint Capela and Danuel House are both expected out again. For McLemore, his floor is a little higher given he’s been more a part of the rotation since Eric Gordon and Gerald Green have gotten hurt. Neither have tremendous ceilings (i.e. 30+ points is a low probability outcome), but combined I expect 42-45 points as a baseline with upside for a little more. For the dollars it takes to roster them, that’s perfectly fine since it allows you to spend up at 3-4 spots.
