- Russell Gage (5.20 fantasy points)
- Jared Cook (11.30 fantasy points)
If you want to go cheap at the quarterback position this week I cannot blame you as there are plenty of excellent cheap quarterbacks. With that being said I am having a hard time passing over Matt Ryan. Ryan minus a two-game stretch has put up huge numbers all season long. Ryan has at least 300 yards passing and at least 19 fantasy points in each of his other seven games minus those two games. Ryan is not only putting up huge numbers but he is in one of the best possible match-ups for quarterbacks as he takes on the Bucs. This season the Bucs are allowing the second-most passing yards per game, have allowed the second-most passing touchdowns, and have allowed the second-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks.
Chubb is putting up huge numbers on a weekly basis even with Kareem Hunt in the lineup. In the two games since Hunt’s return, Chubb has 47 total carries and has rushed for 208 yards. Those are the numbers that Chubb has been putting up all season long and the numbers I expect from him again this week as the Browns take on the Dolphins. The Dolphins run defense is one of the worst in the NFL as they are allowing the second-most rushing yards per game and the seventh-most fantasy points per game to running backs.
Ridley is coming off a huge game in which he caught all eight of his targets for 143 yards and a score on his way to 31.30 fantasy points. While Ridley is a very inconsistent player and it is hard to count on Ridley having another huge game this week I personally think it is going to happen. I believe this due to the fact that Austin Hooper and Devonta Freeman are still out for the Falcons which should mean we see similar targets for Ridley. The match-up against the Bucs is another reason I believe this as the Bucs suck. This season the Bucs have allowed the most receiving yards, most receiving touchdowns and most fantasy points per game to wide receivers.
I don’t know why the Steelers are not the most expensive defense on this slate as they should be. There are two reasons I say this. The first is the fact that the Steelers’ defense has been dominant. Yes, they struggled last week but prior to last week, they had seven straight games with multiple takeaways and double-digit fantasy points. The second reason is due to the elite match-up against the Bengals. The Bengals offense is a hot pile of garbage. This season the Bengals are allowing the third-fewest points per game, have allowed the fourth-most sacks, and have the fifth-most giveaways.
