Welcome to the FC Insights Core Plays and Cheat Sheet Article for DraftKings.
In this post, we will be breaking down our top options and plays for DraftKings for each night of the 2019-2020 NBA DFS season.
- Spencer Dinwiddie (50.75 fantasy points, 8.5x value)
- OG Anunoby (37.75 fantasy points, 8.2x value)
- Giannis Antetokounmpo (55.0 fantasy points, 4.9x value)
- Myles Turner (25.25 fantasy points, 4.1x value)
Lillard has been pedestrian as of late for the Blazers as he has four straight games with under 45 fantasy points but that doesn’t bother me tonight as this is a great bounce-back spot for him as the Blazers take on the Pelicans. The Pelicans have really struggled on the defensive end of the court this season as they have the second-worst defensive net rating and are allowing the second-most points per game. The Pelicans have also struggled specifically against point guards. This season they are allowing the second-most points per game, fourth-most assists per game, and most fantasy points per game to the position.
Lillard is out for the Trail Blazers tonight. With no Lillard, I am switching this pick to his backcourt teammate C.J. McCollum.
SF/PF-Kelly Oubre Jr.-$6,400
It looks like Ricky Rubio is going to miss tonight’s game and that would be a huge boost for Oubre. This season with Rubio off the court, Oubre has seen the biggest jump in usage on the Suns of 4.9% to 27.7% which would be second-highest on the team outside of Devin Booker. Oubre has also seen the highest increase in production as he is averaging 0.22 more fantasy points per minute with Rubio off the court this season. The boost in production and usage is not the only thing that has me excited about Oubre either as his match-up with the Kings is also an elite one. At his salary, Oubre is one of my favorite players on this entire slate.
If Valanciunas was playing heavy minutes he would easily be one of the most popular players on this slate but due to the lack of minutes, I expect Valanciunas flies under the radar tonight. I am personally going to be taking advantage of the lower ownership on Valanciunas tonight as I think he crushes even in his limited minutes as he is averaging 1.24 fantasy points per minute this season and is in an elite match-up against the Warriors. This season the Warriors rank dead last in defensive net rating, 21st in team rebounding rate, and are allowing the fourth-most fantasy points per game to centers.
The Pelicans are going to be without Derrick Favors and Jahill Okafor once again and that should mean we see a second straight start for the rookie. In his first start, Hayes played 32 minutes and had a great performance with ten points, ten rebounds, and three blocks on his way to 31 fantasy points. Tonight I don’t see why we wouldn’t see a similar type of performance from Hayes as he is averaging right around a fantasy point per minute this season and faces a Portland team that ranks in the bottom ten in fantasy points allowed per game to centers.
Please note that we can only list a player at one position on the cheat sheets and unless otherwise noted I like the player at both of their eligible positions.
