The Lock Button is an article that highlights my two personal highest exposed players. This article is meant to give you a glimpse of my thought and lineup building process for the Main slate.
Brock Purdy, QB, ISU
Lock a quarterback against Texas has been a motto I have followed all season and I have no reason to stop now once Texas is actually facing a top tier fantasy quarterback. Purdy can do damage with his arms and legs and the Texas defense has been a funnel for points against both. Everything here is pointing in the favor of the game script. We have a high total, a home game, a struggling defense, and the chance for Iowa State to become bowl eligible. Purdy is expensive, but with a team total over five touchdowns and what should be a very close game, I am locking Purdy in as my QB1 this week.
Brandon Arconado, WR, WSU
Arconado missed three games to injury and is almost the target leader in the Washington State offense. He has a massive target share over his last three games and has turned out 4x value in all of them. Arconado had nine receptions against Oregon and 12 against California, two teams decently regarded for their pass defense. Anthony Gordon runs this air raid offense very well which leads to over 50 passing attempts per game on average. When the ball is in the air that much you are going to want to find the top guy to catch it and when healthy that is Brandon Arconado. His price is not high enough where it will break your bank and the overall volume of passes gives Arconado a ceiling unlike a lot of other players on this slate.
My projections are now live on FantasyCruncher and will be available for every slate all season for both DraftKings and FanDuel. Though this content is free I encourage you to take your game to the next level by considering a subscription to FC Premium. If you are a lower stakes player, FC Lite gets you all the tools that Premium does, just with a lower lineup crunch cap. I will post the link below for anyone interested. I will be in Discord chat (something that comes with a subscription) before lock of all slates if you have questions. You can also reach out to me on Twitter @iKezims
