In this post, we will be breaking down our top options and plays for Yahoo for each night of the 2019-2020 NBA DFS season.
I really like Young tonight as he has been excellent this season. Young has played six games start to finish and in those games, he has produced at least 53 fantasy points in four of the games and has scored at least 29 real points in each of those games. With Young’s elite usage rate of 34.6% and an elite match-up against a Trail Blazers team that has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points per game to point guards this season, there is no doubt in my mind that Young has another monster game in this one.
Kyle Lowry has been ruled out for two weeks with a fractured thumb and that makes VanVleet one of the elite dollar for dollar plays on this slate. Last season in the 15 games that Lowry missed and VanVleet played he averaged 14.1 points, three rebounds, 4.9 assists, a steal, and 27.9 fantasy points. This season with Lowry and Serge Ibaka who is also hurt off the court, VanVleet has a usage rate of 23.8% and is averaging 1.34 fantasy points per minute.
In the three games since John Collins suspension, Parker is averaging 20.7 points, seven rebounds, 1.7 assists, and two blocks+steals. Parker has at least 30 fantasy points in each of those games and has hit the 30 fantasy point mark in four straight games for the Hawks. Tonight I am expecting him to hit that mark with ease once again as the Hawks take on a Trail Blazers team that is allowing the sixth-most fantasy points per game to power forwards this season.
In the seven games that Deandre Ayton has missed due to his long suspension, Baynes is averaging 17.6 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and a block. Baynes has at least 29 fantasy points in six of the seven games and is averaging over 33 fantasy points per game during this stretch. That is elite production for someone as cheap as Baynes is. Baynes is not only playing well right now but he is also in the best possible match-up for centers as the Suns take on the Nets. As they always seem to do the Nets are struggling to stop centers and this season they are allowing the most fantasy points per game to the position.
