Welcome to the FC Insights Core Plays and Cheat Sheet Article for DraftKings.
In this post, we will be breaking down our top options and plays for DraftKings for each night of the 2019-2020 NBA DFS season.
- Chris Paul (31.50 fantasy points, 4.8x value)
- Rodney Hood (14.75 fantasy points, 3.9x value)
- Aron Baynes (30.00 fantasy points, 5.2x value)
- Kemba Walker (28.00 fantasy points, 3.0x value)
I have a feeling that Young is going to go under-owned after his dud against the Bulls and if that is the case I am going to be all in on Young. The reason I am going to be all in on Young is outside of the Bulls game he has been fantastic. Young has a usage rate of 35.3% this season and including the Bulls game is averaging 1.32 fantasy points per minute. The Kings are also a fantastic match-up for Young as they allow the eighth-most fantasy points per game to point guards, the fourth-best three-point shooting percentage, and have the fourth-worst defensive net rating against guards this season.
PG/SG Aaron Holiday-$4,200
Holiday is going to be one of the most popular players on this slate and for good reason, as he is dirt cheap and in line for huge minutes with Jeremy Lamb and Edmund Sumner out. With both of those players out last game, Holiday got his first career start playing 30 minutes. In those minutes, Holiday had a nice stat line with 18/2/1 on his way to 23.5 fantasy points. That was Holiday’s third straight game with at least 17 fantasy points and there is really no reason to believe that he doesn’t make it a fourth which would pay off his salary.
SG/SF-Bruce Brown Jr.-$5,600
Brown has really enjoyed being the starting point guard for the Pistons which is a role he will play once again tonight. In his three previous games in that role, Brown is averaging 15 points, four rebounds, 6.7 assists, 1.7 steals, and a block. Brown has at least 39 fantasy points in two of those three games. Tonight I am expecting a similar performance from Brown even though the match-up against the Pacers does leave a lot to be desired.
I don’t know if I love OG for cash games as he has shown to be inconsistent but in GPPs he is one of my favorite players on this slate for three reasons. The first is Anunoby has shown a ton of upside this season. In his past five games, Anunoby is averaging 13.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, two steals, and 1.8 blocks. Anunoby has at least 38 fantasy points in three of those five games. The second reason is his projected ownership. While the exact projections for ownership are not out by Awesemo yet I cannot imagine that Anunoby is going to be more than five percent owned on this large slate. The last reason is due to the elite match-up against the Pelicans. The Pelicans are one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA. This season they are allowing the most points per game and have the second-worst defensive net rating.
Please note that we can only list a player at one position on the cheat sheets and unless otherwise noted I like the player at both of their eligible positions.
