Welcome to the FC Insights Core Plays and Cheat Sheet Article for FantasyDraft.
In this post, we will be breaking down our top options and plays for FantasyDraft for each DFS week of the 2019-2020 NFL DFS season.
In this article, I am going to give you my four top players for FantasyDraft as well as my cheat sheet. My cheat sheet will include any player that I have more than 15% exposure to as of this writing on FantasyDraft.
Last Weeks Results
- Gardner Minshew II (5.62 fantasy points)
- Le’Veon Bell (12.30 fantasy points)
- Adrian Peterson (18.60 fantasy points)
- Austin Hooper (28.70 fantasy points)
If Ryan is not a core play of yours this week you really need to reevaluate things. Ryan has been that good this season. Ryan leads the NFL in passing attempts, has at least 300 yards passing in each game this season and is first in passing touchdowns. Ryan has at least 19 fantasy points in each game this season and is averaging 27.44 fantasy points per game which is second-highest on this slate. Ryan is not just putting up numbers but the Rams are a great match-up. The Rams were solid against the 49ers last week but struggled against the Bucs and Seahawks. Those teams combined for 653 passing yards and eight touchdown passes. Both Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston produced at least 29 fantasy points in those games. The Rams secondary has only gotten worse since those games as Marcus Peters was traded to the Ravens and Aqib Talib has been placed on the IR. Now the Rams did just trade for Jalen Ramsey who is arguably the top corner in the league but he may not play in this game which would be an even bigger boost to Ryan.
Fournette has been a workhorse back for the Jaguars. Fournette has at least 17 touches in each game this season and has at least 26 touches in three straight games. His performance in those past three games is what really stands out to me. In those three games, Fournette is averaging 135 yards rushing and four catches for 31.67 receiving yards. Fournette has at least 17 fantasy points in each of those games and is averaging 24.67 fantasy points in each of those games. This week I am expecting a similar performance if not a better one as the match-up against the Bengals is elite. This season the Bengals are allowing the third-most rushing yards per game, have allowed the most rushing touchdowns and are allowing the most fantasy points per game to the position.
Engram missed last week’s game but is going to play this week and is by far my favorite tight end on this slate for a couple of reasons. The first is that Engram has been a beast this season. Engram is averaging 6.6 catches for 74.6 receiving yards. Engram has produced at least nine fantasy points in each of those games and is averaging the third-most fantasy points per game at the position on this slate. The second reason why Engram is my top tight end on this slate is the match-up with the Cardinals. The Cardinals have allowed the most receptions, most receiving yards, most touchdown receptions, and most fantasy points per game to the position this season.
There are two defenses that stand out to me this week in the Bills and the 49ers. Both defenses have been great this season and are in elite match-ups. The 49ers get the slight edge for me over the Bills this week as they are $600 cheaper in salary. While the $600 might not seem like a lot at first glance it really is a big difference. Think of it in these terms would you rather roster Nelson Agholor and the Bills defense or Calvin Ridley and the 49ers defense?
