DraftKings Core Plays & Cheat Sheet - NFL DFS Contests 2019

Week 2 NFL DFS Core Plays & Cheat Sheet for DraftKings

Sharing our core plays and cheat sheet for the Week 2 2019 NFL DFS slate on DraftKings.

In this column, we’ll share 4 core plays for DraftKings on a weekly basis, as well as our cheat sheet for the week’s main slate.

Let’s get right to it and have a look at the Main Slate!

QB – Josh Allen, $5,300 @ NYG

The price-point is hard to ignore for Allen, who takes on a defence without a pass rush and with a well below-average secondary.  Allen was slow out of the gates in Week 1, but rallied the troops with a very strong second half for the Bills in their come-back win in New York.  I like his chances of having a big game in this one, and would not be surprised to see him have a solid passing day to go along with doing some damage scrambling, including a score.  I like his chances of approaching 25 DKP in this one, and he’s my favourite dollar for dollar QB on the board in Week 2.

RB – Austin Ekeler, $6,100 @ DET

Ekeler had a dominant week 1 for the Chargers, and while some may think that this is a case of chasing points, I am happy to load up on him in Week 2.  With Hunter Henry out and Mike Williams trending towards not playing, look for WR Keenan Allen and Ekeler to be peppered with targets from Rivers.  When you layer in the fact that their OL has looked dismal in camp and through one week, I think it’s safe to expect the Chargers to focus on a short passing attack, with Ekeler seeing plenty of targets to move the chains.  He’s an excellent mid-priced option at RB this week.

WR – Tyrell Williams, $4,400 vs. KC

With AB gone, Williams is primed to be the go-to WR for the Raiders, and coming off of an impressive showing in Week 1, I like his chances of having another big week in a game that should be high scoring.  Williams hauled in 6 of 7 targets for 105 yards and a score in Week 1, and in a game where I expect the Raiders to be trailing for most of it, I expect them to turn to the air plenty in this one – and I would not be surprised to see him approach double digit targets.  At this price point, he’s a rock solid play in Week 2.

TE – Darren Waller, $3,300 vs. KC

Waller is the other main target in the Raiders pass attack, coming off a Week 1 showing where he caught 7 of 8 targets for 70 yards.  We saw the production that Jared Cook put up in 2018 in Gruden’s system that ‘runs through the TE’ as we heard on Hardknocks – and Waller is an elite althlete that should be poised for a big season if he can stay healthy.  Like I mentioned with Williams above, the expected game flow sets up excellent for Waller to have a big game in this one – and at this price point, he’s an excellent option at a volatile position.
