I cannot stress how important it is to keep up with the news with two days left in the season. Teams are going to give players time off with the season winding down. While I will try my best to keep up with all the news and make changes sometimes the news comes out with only a couple of minutes to spare and I will not have time to update the article.
Kristine Anigwe, F, DAL ($3,600 FD/$4,400 DK)
The Wings have zero to play for and have started to give the ninth pick in the draft playing time. Anigwe has played double-digit minutes in each of the past five games and is coming off a career-high 26 minutes in her last game. Anigwe has not just played solid minutes in those games but she has also produced at a solid rate compared to her salary as she is averaging 4.8 points, six rebounds, and 14.8 fantasy points in those games. Tonight we should see Anigwe play solid minutes once again and there is no reason to believe she doesn’t pay off this dirt-cheap salary.
Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe, F, NY ($4,800 FD/$5,100 DK)
Raincock-Ekunwe is another young player getting extra run on a team that has nothing to play for as she has played at least 19 minutes in each of the Liberty’s past two games. In those games, the second-year player is averaging 11 points, six rebounds, and 20.7 fantasy points. Tonight I would be shocked if we didn’t see similar production from Raincock-Ekunwe as the Liberty take on the Fever. This season the Fever allows the third-most points per game and rank middle of the pack in rebounding the ball.
Arike Ogunbowale, G, DAL ($7,500 FD/$10,400 DK)
Ogunbowale seems to have locked up this season’s Rookie of the Year after four straight huge games. Ogunbowale has scored at least 29 points in each of those games averaging 31.5 points, three rebounds, 5.3 assists, and a steal. Ogunbowale has at least 34 fantasy points in each of those games and is averaging 43.5 fantasy points in those games.
Teaira McCowan, F, IND ($7,200 FD/$10,100 DK)
We are following a theme in this article with young players who are getting a chance to shine. McCowan the number three pick in the draft has been the definition of that last statement as any time she has gotten a chance to start she has crushed. In her 14 starts this season, McCowan is averaging 13 points, 11.4 rebounds, a steal, 1.4 blocks, and 32.9 fantasy points. McCowan has been especially great in the Fever’s past four games with four straight double-doubles and averages of 20.5 points, 14.3 rebounds, and 43.5 fantasy points. The Liberty who allow the most points per game and fourth-most rebounds per game are not a team that is going to slow McCowan down and she should crush once again tonight.
