Daily fantasy basketball lineup advice, picks and plays (9/3) to help you win your WNBA DFS contests.

Let’s take a closer look at some plays for today’s contests with our “Fearsome 4” picks for the day’s slate.

Just like in the NBA it is important to follow the news when it comes to WNBA. While WNBA news is hard to come by at times there are a couple of good resources for news out there. One is While I am not a fan in general of Rotowire they are a great news source for WNBA injuries. They also will give you projected starting lineups and confirmed starting lineups which are really hard to come by. Another source I like to use is following the teams beat writers on Twitter.

Kalani Brown, F, LA ($4,100 FD/$4,300 DK)

I will like Brown a lot better if Nneka Ogwumike who left the Sparks last game due to illness sits out tonight but even if Ogwumike plays Brown is worth a look tonight. Brown has played 16 minutes in back-to-back games for the Sparks and should play solid minutes again tonight as I don’t think the Dream can hang with the Sparks. Brown has not just played consistent minutes but she has also put up some solid numbers with 6.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and two blocks+steals in those two games. Brown has at least 13 fantasy points in those games and has at least nine fantasy points in four of her past five games. The Dream are also a great match-up for Brown as they allow the fourth-most points and most rebounds per game this season.

Jordin Canada, G, SEA ($6,200 FD/$7,200 DK)

Canada has been a bit of a roller coaster since missing the game against the Sun with two games over 30 fantasy points and two games under 15 fantasy points. While that uneven play makes Canada hard to truly trust for cash games at her salary I don’t see how you pass her over as she has as much upside as any guard on this slate and has played well against the Mercury this season. In her two meetings against them, Canada is averaging 13 points, 4.5 rebounds, five assists, two steals, a block, and 31.4 fantasy points.

LaToya Sanders, F, WAS ($5,400 FD/$6,400 DK)

Sanders might be the best dollar for dollar play on this slate with Aerial Powers still out. With Powers out last game, Sanders played 31 minutes and had a huge double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds on her way to 33.2 fantasy points. That was the fifth straight games that Sanders has reached at least 19 fantasy points and the seventh time in her past eight games that she has reached that mark. Tonight Sanders is a lock to hit that mark against a Liberty team that allows the most points per game and fourth-most rebounds per game. Sanders should also benefit if this game gets out of hand which it should.

Brittney Griner, F, PHO ($8,000 FD/$11,400 DK)

I am going to continue to ride Griner as she has been unstoppable since her return from suspension. In those five games, Griner is averaging 26.8 points, 8.6 rebounds, three assist, a steal, and 2.4 blocks. Griner has at least 43 fantasy points in each of those games and is averaging 49 fantasy points in those games. The match-up against the Storm on paper is a bad one but I am not as worried about the match-up as I normally would be as Griner has played well against them. In their two meetings this season, Griner is averaging 19 points, 7.5 rebounds, two assists, a steal, 2.5 blocks, and 38 fantasy points.
