FanDuel & DraftKings Expert WNBA DFS Cash Game & GPP Lineup Picks for Tuesday, August 13, 2019.
Daily fantasy basketball lineup advice, picks and plays (8/13) to help you win your WNBA DFS contests.
Let’s take a closer look at some plays for today’s contests with our “Fearsome 4” picks for the day’s slate.
Just like in the NBA it is important to follow the news when it comes to WNBA. While WNBA news is hard to come by at times there are a couple of good resources for news out there. One is Rotowire.com. While I am not a fan in general of Rotowire they are a great news source for WNBA injuries. They also will give you projected starting lineups and confirmed starting lineups which are really hard to come by. Another source I like to use is following the teams beat writers on Twitter.
Tanisha Wright, G, NY, $4,800
Wright is a great value tonight as she has played at least 20 minutes in four out of the Liberty’s past six games including in back-to-back games. In those four games, Wright has produced at least 15 fantasy points in each game and has at least that amount of fantasy points in five of her past seven games. With Asia Durr out Wright should play at least 20 minutes again in this one and should hit the 15 plus fantasy point mark once again.
Stephanie Talbot, G, MIN, $5,300
I will like Talbot a lot more if Damiris Dantas who missed Sunday’s game due to an injury misses tonight’s game as well but even if Dantas plays Talbot is still an excellent play as Talbot has been one of the most consistent guards in the WNBA. Talbot has at least 19 fantasy points in 11 of her past 13 games. The Liberty are also an elite match-up as they do allow the most points per game this season.
Tina Charles, F, NY, $7,900
Charles continues to dominate. Over her past five games, Charles is averaging 17.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and two blocks. Charles has at least 35 fantasy points in four of those five games and is averaging 35.8 fantasy points during this stretch. There is no reason to believe that Charles doesn’t have similar production tonight. What I love the most about Charles is the fact that she is the third most expensive forward on this slate and rostering her gives a little more roster flexibility which is needed on this slate that lacks a lot of elite value.
Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe, F, NY, $3,500
I don’t love this play one bit as Raincock-Ekunwe is a big risk but she is a risk I am willing to take at her salary. Raincock-Ekunwe has played over 15 minutes in three of her past four games and has produced double-digit fantasy points in each of those games. With Amanda Zahui B out I don’t see why she wouldn’t play that many minutes once again. The real reason I am rostering Raincock-Ekunwe tonight is that rostering her allows you the opportunity to spend up for your other three forwards tonight which I think you have to do if you want to have any chance of winning.
On this small two-game slate we are not going to have a separate section for DraftKings tonight as each player would be a repeat from FanDuel.
