FanDuel & DraftKings Expert WNBA DFS Cash Game & GPP Lineup Picks for Friday, July 12, 2019.
Daily fantasy basketball lineup advice, picks and plays (7/12) to help you win your WNBA DFS contests.
Let’s take a closer look at some plays for today’s contests with our “Fearsome 4” picks for the day’s slate.
Just like in the NBA it is important to follow the news when it comes to WNBA. While WNBA news is hard to come by at times there are a couple of good resources for news out there. One is Rotowire.com. While I am not a fan in general of Rotowire they are a great news source for WNBA injuries. They also will give you projected starting lineups and confirmed starting lineups which are really hard to come by. Another source I like to use is following the teams beat writers on Twitter.
Stephanie Talbot, G, MIN, $4,500
Talbot is by far the top value on this slate as she is playing a ton of minutes with all the injuries the Lynx are dealing with. Talbot has played at least 20 minutes in four straight games with at least 30 minutes in three of those four games. In the three games that Talbot has played at least 30 minutes, she is averaging 15.33 points, 5.33 rebounds, 2.66 assists, and two steals+blocks. Talbot has produced at least 20 fantasy points in each of those games and I don’t see a reason why she doesn’t hit that mark again tonight as one of those games was against the same Dream team she faces in this one.
Sami Whitcomb, G, SEA, $5,300
Whitcomb is another great value as she is also playing a lot of minutes due to an injury to a player ahead of her. For Whitcomb that injury is to Jewell Loyd who is set to miss her fifth straight game. In the prior four games that Loyd has missed Whitcomb has played at least 28 minutes and produced at least 18 fantasy points with two games of at least 32 fantasy points. There is no reason to believe that Whitcomb doesn’t have similar production tonight even in a not so great match-up against a Dallas team that likes to slow the pace down and turn the game into a grind.
Nneka Ogwumike, F, LA, $7,100
Ogwumike has two straight double-doubles with at least 35 fantasy points for the Sparks and is in a great spot to repeat that performance for tonight for two reasons. The first is Candace Parker is listed as doubtful for tonight’s contest and baring a sudden change is out for tonight’s game. With Parker out, Ogwumike is going to see an uptick in minutes and usage. The second reason is due to the match-up against the Fever. The Fever are a middle of the pack team defensively as well as on the glass.
Alysha Clark, F, SEA, $5,200
Clark is one of the safest value plays at the forward position on this slate even in the bad match-up against the Dream. The reason why Clark is one of the safest plays is due to her consistency. Clark has played at least 26 minutes in all but one game this season including six straight games with at least 30 minutes played. Clark has also produced at least 18 fantasy points in all but three games this season with only one game below 15 fantasy points.
If you roster these four players that leaves you $5,967 in salary for your final three spots on FanDuel.
Stephanie Talbot, G, MIN, $5,600 & Sami Whitcomb, G, SEA, $6,500
I talked about both of these guards in the FanDuel section of this article and on DraftKings they are my favorite pairing of guards in all formats. Out of my 50 lineups that I have made this morning 44 of them have this pairing at the position on DraftKings and I don’t see that level of exposure changing much as the day goes on as I am that high on the pair at their salaries.
Chiney Ogwumike, F, LA, $8,100
Ogwumike is way too cheap on DraftKings tonight for Candace Parker to be out. In the six games that both Parker and Maria Vadeeva who is still out for the Sparks missed earlier in the season, Ogwumike averaged 17 points and 7.5 rebounds. Ogwumike produced at least 28 fantasy points in five of those games with four of them going for at least 34 fantasy points. The Fever as I talked about with her sister are not a team that sparks fear in me and I have a feeling that Ogwumike has another monster game in this one.
If you roster these four players that leaves you $9,933 in salary for your final three spots on DraftKings.
