Sharing our top CFL DFS Lineup Picks and Recommended Plays for DraftKings DFS contests – Week 5 of the 2019 season
Our best daily fantasy CFL lineup advice, picks and plays for week 5 of the CFL season (cash games and GPPs).
Welcome to The Key Three.
This post will be similar to our MLB, NBA, NHL, and NFL Core Plays. We will be offering our cheat sheet for the full week slate of games.
I will highlight three players I am looking at for my rosters – focusing on some plays that are great foundations for your CFL DraftKings lineups for Week 5!
1) QB- Dominique Davis, OTT, $8,800 — Davis struggled in his last game but was excellent in his first two starts of the season. In those starts, Davis averaged 315 passing yards per game and 31.73 fantasy points per game. That is the kind of production I expect from Davis this week as he takes on an Alouettes team that has been the worst passing defense in the CFL. In their three games, Montreal is allowing 421.7 passing yards per game and two touchdown passes per game. What I really love about Davis is his salary as he is only the seventh most expensive quarterback on this slate.
2) RB- Anthony Coombs, HAM, $4,200 — Coombs is the perfect running back to target this week as he is more a wide receiver than a running back. Yes, Coombs had six carries last week for 51 yards but prior to that he only averaged 7.6 carries a season in his first five seasons. In fact, Coombs is listed as a wide receiver on the CFL website. Coombs in his first game of the year not only had the six carries but he was also targeted six times and caught five of those passes for 61 yards. Coombs should see six-plus targets again this week and if he gets five-plus carries he is going to likely be one of the highest-scoring running backs on the slate yet he is only going to cost you a fraction of what the other top running backs are going to cost you.
3) WR – R.J. Harris, OTT, $6,700 — I love to target players against Montreal and I love to pair my quarterback with one of his wide receivers. Those two things make Harris a no brainer for me as Harris is one of Davis top targets. Davis has at least five catches for 50 yards in each of his three games this season with two of the three games being games he went for over 80 yards and has at least 14 fantasy points in each of those games as well. The Alouettes as I mentioned earlier are allowing the most passing yards per game and we should see Harris go for at least 80 yards in this one and I would be shocked if he didn’t find the endzone as well.
Best of Luck in Week 5 CFL action. Here’s to hoping you can get the season off to a good start!
