FanDuel & DraftKings Expert WNBA DFS Cash Game & GPP Lineup Picks for Wednesday, July 10, 2019.
Daily fantasy basketball lineup advice, picks and plays (7/10) to help you win your WNBA DFS contests.
Let’s take a closer look at some plays for today’s contests with our “Fearsome 4” picks for the day’s slate.
Just like in the NBA it is important to follow the news when it comes to WNBA. While WNBA news is hard to come by at times there are a couple of good resources for news out there. One is Rotowire.com. While I am not a fan in general of Rotowire they are a great news source for WNBA injuries. They also will give you projected starting lineups and confirmed starting lineups which are really hard to come by. Another source I like to use is following the teams beat writers on Twitter.
Kelsey Plum, G, LVA, $4,500
Plum continues to be underpriced in my eyes even with her inconsistent play for two reasons. The first is Plum even with her up and down play is still playing a ton of minutes. Plum has played at least 24 minutes in five of her past six games with the one game she did not hit that mark being a game that was called off at half time after an earth quake. The second reason I think Plum is underpriced is due to the match-up against the Fever. Plum didn’t have a great game against them when they played a couple of weeks ago but the Fever are a great match-up as they allow the fifth-most points per game this season and second-most assists per game.
LaToya Sanders, F, WAS, $5,100
Sanders is another player that is inconsistent that I love today especially if Elena Delle Donne is out. EDD was only able to play a minute in the Mystics last game and is currently questionable for today’s contests. If she is out Sanders would be in line for big minutes with Emman Meesseman also still out. Sanders would not only be in line for a ton of minutes today but the match-up is not as bad as you would think it is. The Mercury are allowing the third-most rebounds per game this season. This game is also in Washington before noon and the Mercury should be tired as it is like they will be playing an eight o’clock in the morning game according to their bodies.
Jonquel Jones, F, CON, $7,500
Jones has been rather pedestrian as of late for the Sun as she has not produced over 30 fantasy points in four straight games. While that is a bit worrisome as Jones is still fairly expensive I have a feeling that streak ends today as she takes on a Dream team that she has destroyed twice this season. In her two match-ups against the Dream, Jones is averaging 17.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3.5 blocks, and a steal. Jones has at least 34 fantasy points in each of those games and all signs point towards her hitting that mark again in this one.
Kayla McBride, G, LVA, $6,700
McBride is the safest guard on this slate as she has produced at least 28 fantasy points in four of her past five games with the one game being the earthquake game against the Mystics. One of the games she produced at least 28 fantasy points was against the same Fever team she plays today and as I talked about earlier with her teammate Kelsey Plum the Fever are a great match-up for guards so we should expect a similar performance from McBride in this one.
If you roster these four players that leaves you $5,400 in salary for your final three spots on FanDuel.
Jonquel Jones, F, CON, $10,100
I am actually torn on Jones on DraftKings today. On one hand, I love her for the reasons I talked about in the FanDuel portion of this article and on the other I don’t love her salary on DK at all. Jones is the fifth most expensive player on DraftKings and more expensive than her teammate Alyssa Thomas who is playing better than Jones at the moment. With that being said I am going to trust my data and Jones will be a building block of my lineups today.
Napheesa Collier, F, MIN, $8,600
DraftKings has the late game between the Lynx and Sky on their slate of games and that allows us to roster Collier who has been excellent all season long especially in the past three games with Damiris Dantas out. In those three games, Collier is averaging nine points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and three blocks+steals. Collier has at least 26 fantasy points in each of those games and has actually hit at least that amount of fantasy points in six of her past seven games. The Sky while better on the defensive end of the court than they were a year ago shouldn’t slow Collier down one bit in this one.
Stephanie Talbot, G, MIN, $5,000
Talbot had a horrible game her last time out only producing three fantasy points but that doesn’t bother me today for two reasons. The first is Talbot still played heavy minutes in that game with 24 and should play heavy minutes with the Lynx so banged up right now. The second is Talbot prior to that game had been producing at an elite level with at least 29 fantasy points in each of her previous two games.
If you roster these four players that leaves you $8,766 in salary for your final three spots on DraftKings.
