FanDuel & DraftKings Expert WNBA DFS Cash Game & GPP Lineup Picks for Sunday, July 7, 2019.
Daily fantasy basketball lineup advice, picks and plays (7/7) to help you win your WNBA DFS contests.
Let’s take a closer look at some plays for today’s contests with our “Fearsome 4” picks for the day’s slate.
Just like in the NBA it is important to follow the news when it comes to WNBA. While WNBA news is hard to come by at times there are a couple of good resources for news out there. One is Rotowire.com. While I am not a fan in general of Rotowire they are a great news source for WNBA injuries. They also will give you projected starting lineups and confirmed starting lineups which are really hard to come by. Another source I like to use is following the teams beat writers on Twitter.
Kelsey Plum, G, LVA, $4,300
Plum is inconsistent and always a risk to put up a dud but I am going to be taking the risk with her today as she is way too cheap for her match-up against the Liberty. The Liberty are a horrible defensive team and this season they are allowing the most points per game. The Aces have faced the Liberty twice already this season and in those two games, Plum is averaging 11.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, two assists, three steals+blocks, and 26.9 fantasy points. This game is also the game I want to target the most as it has the highest projected total on the slate and both the Aces and Liberty rank in the top three in pace this season.
Kia Nurse, G, NY, $6,600
Nurse continues to play a ton of minutes for the Liberty. Nurse has not played below 26 minutes in a game this season and has played at least 37 minutes in four of her past five games. Nurse is not just playing a ton of minutes but she is producing at a high level. Nurse has produced at least 25 fantasy points in seven of her past nine games. Today I am expecting more of the same from Nurse as once again as though Nurse doesn’t have the best production against the Liberty this season those games came when the Liberty were fully healthy and before Nurse was playing almost the full game.
Brittney Griner, F, PHO, $8,000
I love the way Griner is playing right now. Griner has scored at least 20 points in three straight games for the Mercury and has at least seven rebounds and three blocks in her past two games. Griner has produced at least 28 fantasy points in each game this season and has back-to-back games with at least 45 fantasy points. The Dream are not a team that is going to slow Griner down as this season they are allowing the third most points per game, most rebounds per game and fourth most blocks per game.
LaToya Sanders, F, WAS, $5,300
I am a huge fan of Sanders today as I love how the match-up stacks up for her against the Sparks. The Sparks have struggled this season on the defensive end of the court allowing the fifth most points per game and have struggled on the glass allowing the second most rebounds per game. The match-up is not only an excellent one for Sanders but I love the way she has played. Sanders is never going to be a big-time scorer but she does enough of everything else to allow her to have huge fantasy games as she is averaging 21.3 fantasy points per game despite averaging less than five points per game. Sanders showed that ability in her only meeting against the Sparks as she put up 31.1 fantasy points without scoring a single point.
If you roster these four players that leaves you $5,267 in salary for your final three spots on FanDuel.
Brittney Griner, F, PHO, $10,800
Griner is my top-ranked player on this slate on both sites so she is, of course, a core play for me on DraftKings as well as FanDuel.
Reshand Gray, F, NY, $6,900
Gray is still too cheap in my eyes for the way she has played with Amanda Zahui B out. In those five games, Gray is averaging 7.8 points, 10 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks+steals. Gray has produced at least 19 fantasy points in each of those games. Today we should see her put up a similar performance as she is in the top game from a stacking perspective as the Aces-Liberty game is projected to be high scoring and should be extremely fast paces as both teams rank in the top three in pace this season.
Kelsey Plum, G, LVA, $5,700
I talked about Plum in the FanDuel portion of this article. While I like her a little better on FanDuel where you roster three guards than DraftKings where you only roster two guards her salary on DraftKings makes her very hard to ignore on this slate.
If you roster these four players that leaves you $8,866 in salary for your final three spots on DraftKings.
