FanDuel & DraftKings Expert WNBA DFS Cash Game & GPP Lineup Picks for Saturday, June 22, 2019.
Daily fantasy basketball lineup advice, picks and plays (6/22) to help you win your WNBA DFS contests.
Let’s take a closer look at some plays for today’s contests with our “Fearsome 4” picks for the day’s slate.
As promised we are going to change up this article a bit by giving you our core plays for each site. On FanDuel we will give you our core four plays with them having seven roster spots and on DraftKings we will give you our core three plays with only six roster spots on that site. Keep in mind that some of the plays may be the same for both sites.
I will readily admit that yesterday’s picks were not good as two of our four plays on FanDuel did not produce double-digit fantasy points. When that happens I always question myself to see if there was anything I missed but looking over it the process was sound with each of my picks they just didn’t work out. I bring this up not to try to justify my badness yesterday but to show you that there are going to be nights that your players don’t perform. No matter how good you are that is going to happen. The important thing is to make sure you have a proven process that you follow on a nightly basis that works for you.
Sylvia Fowles, F, MIN, $8,000
I have not rostered Fowles a lot this season as she really has not been paying off her salary on a nightly basis. With that being said Fowles looks a lot better than she did to start the season as she has at least 35 fantasy points in three of her past four games after failing to hit that mark in her first five games of the season with one of those games being against the Liberty who she faces tonight. Fowles should be able to have a similar type of game tonight as the Liberty allow the most points per game and third most rebounds per game this season. They also just lost their best defender down low Amanda Zahui B to Europe for the next couple of weeks.
Han Xu, F, NYL, $3,200
Xu has only played more than a minute in two games this season but is expected to get the start with Amanda Zahui B out and I am willing to take a chance on her at her salary as the two games that she played double-digit minutes she was able to produce. In those games, she averaged 6.5 points and a block+steal while producing at least 11 fantasy points in each game. If she is able to do that again tonight which she should be able to she would easily pay off her salary.
Kia Nurse, G, NYL, $6,400
I love to roster Nurse as she always plays a lot of minutes for the Liberty especially since Bria Hartley went down with an injury. In the four games since that injury, Nurse is averaging 33.25 minutes and those numbers would likely be even higher if not for a blowout loss against the Aces. Nurse is not just playing a lot of minutes right now but she is producing with at least 25 fantasy points in three of those games including a game against the Lynx in which she scored 26 points while adding three rebounds, four assists and two steals on her way to 37.6 fantasy points.
Kaela Davis, G, DAL, $3,900
I love the salary on Davis tonight as she is too cheap for her recent production. After playing limited minutes to start the season, Davis has not played at least 20 minutes in four straight games for the Wings and has produced at least 13 fantasy points in each of those games. Those games came with Tayler Hill either playing very limited minutes or out completely and with Hill still out and Moriah Jefferson not yet being activated there is no reason to believe that Davis won’t continue to replicate those numbers tonight.
If you roster these four players that leaves you $6,167 in salary for your final three spots on FanDuel.
Sylvia Fowls, F, MIN, $10,300 & Han Xu, F, NYL, $4,200
I covered both of these players in the FanDuel portion of this article.
Theresa Plaisance, F, DAL, $7,000
Isabelle Harrison is expected to return for the Wings tonight after missing the past two games with a concussion but with Glory Johnson still out for the Wings, we should still see Plaisance playing over 20 minutes as she has the past three games. In those games, Plaisance is averaging 11 points, seven rebounds, three assists, a block and a steal for 28.6 fantasy points. Tonight I don’t see a reason why we wouldn’t see similar numbers as the Aces are not as bad of a match-up as you may think. This season the Aces have been middle of the road in both points allowed per game, rebounds allowed per game and fantasy points allowed per game to forwards.
If you roster these three players that leaves you $9,500 in salary for your final three spots on DraftKings.
