Sharing our top CFL DFS Lineup Picks and Recommended Plays for DraftKings DFS contests – Week 2 of the 2019 season
Our best daily fantasy CFL lineup advice, picks and plays for week 2 of the CFL season (cash games and GPPs).
Welcome to The Key Three.
This post will be similar to our MLB, NBA, NHL, and NFL Core Plays. We will be offering our cheat sheet for the full week slate of games.
I will highlight three players I am looking at for my rosters – focusing on some plays that are great foundations for your CFL DraftKings line-ups for Week 1!
Note: We will be expanding CFL coverage starting next week to add another article to go along with this article and our cheat sheets.
1) QB- Jeremiah Masoli, HAM — Masoli had by far the worst start to the season of the expensive quarterbacks but he is my favorite of the three this week due to the match-up. Masoli gets to take on an Argonauts defense that sucks. The Argonauts allow the most yards per passing attempt last season at 9.5 and most passing touchdowns at 35. Masoli is also a lot better than he showed in week one as he had 5,209 passing yards and 30 total touchdowns a year ago.
2) RB- Mossis Madu Jr., OTT – I normally don’t build lineups around running backs in CFL but this week I cannot ignore the salary on Madu Jr. Madu Jr. had 30 total touches with six of those being catches in week one. Madu Jr. turned those touches into 140 total yards and 23 fantasy points. While Madu Jr. is not going to put up those kinds of numbers this week as I doubt he gets that number of touches this week as Ottawa shouldn’t run as many plays as they did in week one and he is in a much tougher match-up he should still be one of the highest scoring running backs on this slate and is frankly too cheap when you compare him to the other top running backs.
3) WR – Brandon Banks, HAM – Banks is going to cost you a pretty penny this week but should be well worth it as he takes on the Argonauts. The Argonauts once again suck in pass defense as I talked about with his quarterback and Banks destroyed them last season with 23 catches, 466 yards, and five scores.
Best of Luck in Week 2 CFL action. Here’s to hoping you can get the season off to a good start!
