Welcome to the Daily Three Pack where we share three core players on Yahoo that you are going to want to target for MLB DFS contests on Friday, June 14, 2019.
In this article, I am going to give you three core plays that I am using in cash games for the main slate of games. This core will include a pitcher and two hitters. I will also give you a bonus play which will be my favorite expensive hitter normally over $20 in salary on this slate.
Pitcher to Target
Snell for under $50 is a must play for me. Snell is just too good of a pitcher to be this cheap especially when you factor in that he is pitching well. Snell has at least 5.2 innings pitched with no more than two earned runs allowed in six of his past seven starts. Snell has at least seven strikeouts with at least 25 fantasy points in five of those starts. The Angels are also not a bad match-up for Snell. While they don’t strikeout a lot they are not a great hitting team against lefties either.
Yesterday’s Results: Ryan Yarbrough 8.8 fantasy points
Hitters to Target
Davis is way too cheap tonight for the way he is hitting the ball. Davis has three multiple hits in his past four games and has two home runs in those games. I also like the match-up for Davis as he takes on Marco Gonzales. Gonzales is allowing right-handed hitters to slug .444 with a .327 wOBA and a 35.2% hard-hit rate this season.
Yesterday’s Results: Enrique Hernandez 2.6 fantasy points
It is rare that a catcher jumps out at me as a must play but this is the third day in a row one jumps out at me. Today that catcher is McCann as he is taking on the left-handed CC Sabathia. McCann is excellent against lefties and with four an OPS over .900 in three of his five seasons and an ISO over .200 in four of them including this season. McCann also normally bats in the top of the White Sox order against lefties.
Yesterday’s Results: Chance Sisco 14.2 fantasy points
Machado’s salary is a joke tonight. I know that Machado has been bad for most of the season but he hit two home runs last night and is at Coors against a reverse splits pitcher in Jeff Hoffman who sucks. Hoffman is allowing right-handed hitters to slash .368/.393/.737 with a .449 wOBA this season.
Yesterday’s Results: Didi Gregorius 7.1 fantasy points
