NASCAR HEADS TO TEXAS FOR MORE RACING ACTION
We follow NASCAR to Fort Worth this week where we have selected picks for both DraftKings and FanDuel DFS contests on Sunday.
KURT BUSCH (DK $9,500) – Last week Kurt didn’t make our list after being priced over $10K for the first time this season. This week he falls back after a mediocre 12th place finish last week. Priced $700 cheaper than last week, he once again makes our list. He has the highest average of any driver under $10K at 47.0 FPPR. That puts him higher than any drivers other than Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski and Kevin Harvick. This week he looks to climb back into contention in Fort Worth where he finished in 7th place last year while scoring 55.0 fantasy points. He’s pretty much always worth the play when priced in this range. He doesn’t have much chance to finish at the top but starting in the 30th position will give him plenty of opportunity to score well based on place differential.
(Kurt Busch drives the #1 Chevrolet for Chip Ganassi Racing.)
CHASE ELLIOTT (DK $8,600) – Chase goes to Texas Motor Speedway where he has finished in the top ten in 5 of his last 6 races there. Last year he scored 48.5 fantasy points in this race. He is averaging 42.5 FPPR which is the highest for any driver priced under $9K. Despite his second place finish last week, his salary only took a small $400 bump this week. He is priced to sell. He has the 6th best average to salary ratio for all drivers on DraftKings. Starting in 3rd position, he has a legitimate chance at another finish at the top this week.
(Chase Elliot drives the #9 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports.)
RICKY STENHOUSE JR. (FD $8,400) – Ricky Stenhouse has the highest average of any driver under $11K in salary at 54.4 FPPR. That’s a higher average than Clint Bowyer, Erik Jones and Austin Dillon who are all priced higher. He carries the best ratio of average to salary of any driver above $8,000 this week. Last November in his last visit to Texas Motor Speedway he finished just outside of the top ten ending up in 11th while scoring 66.7 fantasy points. Starting in 17th position, he is solid value at a moderate price on FanDuel this week.
(Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. drives the #17 Ford for Roush Fenway Racing.)
CHRIS BUESCHER (FD $6,500) – At 50.3 FPPR, Buescher is a bargain at this price. No driver under $8K has a higher average and only two drivers under $10K carry a higher average. Since Daytona, he has finished with less than 54 fantasy points only once. He has a good floor for a driver at this price and will complement some of the higher priced drivers this week. Last year in this race he score 60.6 fantasy points while finishing in 15th place. This week he will start in 19th position.
(Chris Buescher drives the #37 Chevrolet for JTG Daugherty Racing.)
That’s all for this week. Good luck with your lineups!
