FOUR PICKS FOR DFS CONTESTS ON SUNDAY
NASCAR goes to California for St. Patty’s Day. Here’s four picks selected for both DraftKings and FanDuel contests.
KURT BUSCH (DK $9,100) – Kyle Busch is off to an amazing start this year and his big brother Kurt can easily be overlooked, but as long as DraftKings keeps his salary in the $9K range he’ll continue to show up as one of our top picks. At an average of 47.0 fantasy points per race he has a better FPPR than Brad Keselowski (DK $11,500), Martin Truex, Jr. (DK $10,000), Aric Almirola (DK $9,700) and Denny Hamlin (DK $9,400). Since his poor showing at Daytona, he has had an average of 56.3 fantasy points over his last three races. In those races he is averaging a starting position slightly worse than 17th with an average finishing place of 5th. He starts in the 21st position on Sunday and is set up well to move up in the pack. His ratio of FPPR to salary is the highest of any driver on DraftKings on Sunday.
(Kurt Busch drives the #1 Chevrolet for Chip Ganassi Racing.)
RICKY STENHOUSE, JR. (DK $7,600) – Ricky is trending positively while standing taller than the competition at his price point. He finished 6th from the 8th position in Las Vegas and he finished 13th from the 19th position in Phoenix last week. He averaged over 40 FPPR in those two races. His average of 34.33 is higher than the other drivers in his price range. He’s averaging better than Jimmie Johnson (DK $7,800), Daniel Suarez (DK $8,000) and Chase Elliott (DK $8,800). He will start in 12th place on Sunday and will look to once again improve his place at finish.
(Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. drives the #17 Ford for Roush Fenway Racing.)
ROSS CHASTAIN (FD $4,000) – At 43.58 FPPR, Ross Chastain has the highest ratio of FPPR to salary of any driver averaging more than 40 points on FanDuel. His average is higher than that of Austin Dillon (FD $7,400), Matt DiBenedetto (FD $5,500) and Daniel Hemric (FD $6,800). In fact, if you look only at his Cup Series races he is averaging 47.7 FPPR so far at Daytona, Atlanta, Las Vegas and Phoenix. In those races he has improved his starting position in each race, highlighted by a 10th place finish at Daytona. He starts Sunday in the 31st position. At the rate he’s going he won’t stay under the radar much longer and at an even $4K in salary he will make room in your lineups for more expensive drivers.
(Ross Chastain drives the #15 Chevrolet for Premium Motorsports.)
TY DILLON (FD $6,000) – Ty Dillon makes the top ten of FPPR to salary ratio in this week’s FanDuel lineup. His salary is 24th. He’s averaging 48.22 FPPR putting him ahead of Erik Jones (FD $9,800), Alex Bowman (FD $8,000) and Paul Menard ($7,000). He had a 6th place finish at Daytona this year as well as a 15th place finish last week in Phoenix where he score 59.7 fantasy points. Despite his performance last week, his salary is down from $6,500. Buy low on Dillon this week in the AC 400.
(Ty Dillon drives the #13 Chevrolet for Germain Racing.)
That’s all for this week. Good luck in your lineups!
