Three Western Conference plays for tonight’s NBA DFS slate (Feb 12, 2019).
Patty Mills (SAS) @ MEM
As long as Derrick White remains injured, Mills is fantasy relevant at a salary of just $4,100 on DraftKings and $4,400 on FanDuel. In his last ten games, Patty Mills is averaging 23.5 FPPG and 24 MPG. He has been extremely consistent, scoring double digits points in 8 of those 10. In all three games so far this season against Memphis, he has scored 25 or more fantasy points which will more than pay off the salary on all sites (for cash games in particular).
JaVale McGee (LAL) @ ATL
Since the departure of Ivica Zubac to the other Los Angeles team, JaVale McGee has seen a big jump in fantasy value. Starting in his last two games, McGee put up 28.50 and 43.75 fantasy points, yet his salary is only $4,800 on DraftKings tonight. In those two games, he averaged 28 MPG and a usage rate of 23.7. He figures to play a big role for the Lakers the rest of the season, but his salary has not yet caught up with his renewed role for the Lakers making him a fantastic mid-range C option.
Donovan Mitchell (UTA) @ GSW
Fantasy Cruncher is projecting Donovan Mitchell in the mid-40’s on both FD and DK tonight, where his salary is at $8,300 on both sites. This presents great value on FanDuel where the higher cap makes his salary a relatively greater bargain versus DraftKings. He should see high minutes and usage rate albeit in a tough matchup against the Warriors. The last time he played Golden State he played 36 minutes and had a usage rate of 39.4. Expecting similar underlying (role) metrics is reasonable, and he has a great shot at eclipsing the 40 FP plateau as a result.
