FanDuel Expert WNBA DFS Cash Game & GPP Lineup Picks for Saturday, August 26, 2017.
Free daily fantasy basketball lineup advice, picks and plays (8/26) to help you win your WNBA DFS contests.
Let’s take a closer look at some FanDuel plays for today’s contests with our “Fearsome 4” picks for the day’s slate.
WNBA is here for DFS sports and I couldn’t be more pumped. For those of you looking for a sport other than baseball to play during the summer, WNBA is the perfect bridge sport until football starts.
The scoring is the exact same as NBA. The only changes that I can see are with the rosters as in WNBA you have to play three guards and four forwards. This article is going to give you our four favorite plays of each WNBA slate regardless of position. We are going to give you our top player, mid-tier player, value player and GPP option for each slate.
With that said, let’s dive right in and have a look at our recommendations for the day:
I am under the weather today and will be keeping this article short and sweet.
Top Play – Emma Meesseman, WAS, F
The return of Elena Delle Donne did not affect Meesseman one bit. Meesseman had yet another huge game for the Mystics with 30.1 fantasy points. That game marked the 11th time in her past 13 games that Meesseman has produced at least 28 fantasy points. With the Wings allowing the most fantasy points per game to forwards I like Meesseman to hit that mark with ease again in this one.
Mid-Tier Play – Layshai Clarendon, ATL, G
Clarendon can be inconsistent but has the talent with her ability to rake up assists to have huge games at any moment. Clarendon showed that talent last time out with 17 points and 14 assists on her way to 40 fantasy points. While I don’t expect we see that type of game from Clarendon tonight I do expect we see at least 25 fantasy points from Clarendon as she has dominated the Fever in their two previous meetings.
Value Play – Jeanette Pohlen-Mavunga, IND, G
The Fever have been hit hard by injuries to their guards and that has allowed Pohlen-Mavunga the change to play consistent minutes. Pohlen-Mavunga has played at least 20 minutes in each of the past four games. Pohlen-Mavunga has also stepped up in those games with at least 15.9 fantasy points in three of the four. The one game where she put up a dud was against the Lynx who are the leagues best defense and I can forgive her for that. The Dream are not the Lynx and I like Pohlen-Mavunga to reach the 16 plus fantasy point mark once again tonight which would easily pay off her dirt cheap salary.
GPP Play– Theresa Plaisance, DAL, F
I don’t trust Plaisance in cash games as she is super inconsistent but in GPPs I am willing to play her as she has had two straight huge games. In her past two games, Plaisance is averaging 14.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.5 blocks and a steal. Plaisance produced at least 29 fantasy points in each of those games. Just remember one of those games was with Glory Johnson out and Johnson is going to be back in action tonight.
