FanDuel NBA Lineup for January 28 | DFS FanDuel Tips, Strategy, Picks and Advice for Daily NBA Fantasy Basketball Jan 28, 2015 (1/28)
Yesterday was another odd night that didn’t end up going our way. With Paul Pierce possibly sitting out and John Wall‘s achilles news breaking later in the day, we were forced to change our lineup from the original plan. It turned out that Wall played after all, and did so at a very high level scoring over 50 FDP. Despite some strong performances, our final lineup closed out the night with only 236.8 points which was not enough to get into the money for our 50-50 contests. Hopefully you had a better night with your FanDuel NBA action.
In any event, let’s put Jan 27th behind us and focus on building a great lineup for Jan 28th.
Here is last night’s perfect lineup, from one of the great tools by our friends at FantasyCruncher.com. It was definitely an odd one, with a couple of names that are a surprise (Solomon Hill, Wayne Ellington, Vince Carter in particular):

Moxyball FanDuel NBA Plays for Jan 28th Contests
Here are 4 players we like the looks of heading into tonight’s contests.
Langston Galloway, $4,800
We still really like the value you’re getting with Galloway at the price. There aren’t many sub-$5,000 point guard options on FanDuel with 30 point upside. He continues to be a solid value play, earning 5.7 FDP per game per $1,000 spent over the last 3 contests. While OKC is a tough opponent for the Knicks, Galloway shouldn’t have any issues having a strong game against the 18th ranked PG defense in the league. I see the floor as low 20s in points today for him, making him a good PG2 candidate.
Thaddeus Young, $6,800
His price has climbed a bit lately, almost reaching the $7,000 mark thanks to some big performances. He finally seems to be getting comfortable with his game, averaging over 40 FDP in his last 2 games (44.7 and 37.1 points respectively). What owners will love to see is the big minutes he’s logging as well, with 85 total in that span. The Timberwolves are at home facing Boston today in what should be a pretty competitive game from start to finish. Expect another big night for Young on his home soil against the 25th ranked PF defense over the last 3 weeks.
Anthony Tolliver, $4,000
I mentioned him in my DraftKings post yesterday, and he didn’t disappoint. He’s playing very well as an option off the bench for the Pistons right now, and there’s no reason to expect him to slow down anytime soon. It’s hard to beat getting a guy so cheap that’s going to see about 25 minutes a game and bring about 20 FDP to the table in an attractive matchup. Don’t be surprised to see him reach the 25 FDP mark with a little extra “oomph” playing the 25th ranked PF defense over the last 3 weeks (Sixers).
DeMarre Carroll, $5,400
It’s tough to beat his consistency. You know you’re going to get about 30 minutes a game and something in the low 20s of points when the final buzzer goes. He had 27.7 points against Brooklyn the last time they faced off in early December – and that was in only 25 minutes of action. He’s a high floor option that is attractive to me in 50-50 contests today, seeing as Brooklyn checks in as a very middling defense against the SF position right now, and there really aren’t many SF plays out there under $5,500 that you can count on to reach the 20+ mark.
