Jared and Brad have each put together their optimized lineups for tonight’s action (November 10, 2014). Take a look and let us know which of the 2 you think is the stronger play.

Jared’s lineup

PG1: Donald Sloan, $5,700

PG2: Jeff Teague, $7,700

SG1: Kyle Korver, $5,100

SG2: Tyreke Evans, $7,600

SF1: Iman Shumpert, $5,300

SF2: Kawhi Leonard, $6,100

PF1: Pau Gasol, $8,300

PF2: Kevin Love, $8,800

C: Anderson Varejao, $4,900

Team Projection: 268 points

Brad’s lineup

PG1: Kyrie Irving, $7,400

PG2: Donald Sloan, $5,700

SG1: Jamal Crawford, $6,000

SG2: Tyreke Evans, $7,600

SF1: Chris Copeland, $5,300

SF2: Kawhi Leonard, $6,100

PF1: Tim Duncan, $8,000

PF2: Kevin Love, $8,800

We feel both lineups are nice plays for 50-50 contests in tonight’s games. What do you think? Which do you prefer?

Daily Notes:

  • If Leonard’s eye worries you – you can either plug in Heyward and tinker to cut costs elsewhere, or you can roll with Shumpert and Copeland at SF, having some cash to splash elsewhere if you wish.
  • Sloan checks in as a nice value play in a favorable matchup, so it’s easy to see why he is in both lineups. Wouldn’t surprise if he’s close to 50% owned today.
  • All players on Jared’s team are projected to bring in 4.2 FDP/$1,000 or more.
  • The average ROI for Brad’s team is projected to be 4.5 FDP/$1,000
  • Kyle Korver lines up as one of the plays of the day considering the matchup, recent performance and value out of the SG spot.
  • Jared’s lineup is powered by the twin PF duo of Kevin Love and Pau Gasol, who both should have nice games of 35+ FDP.
  • Brad went a slightly different way at PG with Kyrie Irving over Jeff Teague for the bigger-spend point guard.
  • Brad’s choice of Enes Kanter is going to be one to watch – considering his strong play as of late. Could bring in a very strong return for a sub-$5,000 price tag.
  • Brad likes Jamal Crawford to have a nice game tonight, which is definitely within reach considering the matchup. Don’t be fooled by the Spurs, they give up quite a few points to the SG spot.
  • Chris Copeland is likely to be in many lineups once again tonight. Brad likes him to post 4.5+ FDP/$1,000 while Jared stayed away from him today.
  • Tyreke Evans is a staple in both lineups and for good reason. He’s playing at a very high level and should get a lot of touches in tonight’s game against the Cavs.

  1. First off, you guys are amazing. Been killing it every day. Second, I see Leonard as a GTD. Any thoughts on replacements in case we get “Popped”.

Both lineups are so close that I can’t seem to choose one. I think that’s a sign of good lineups. Keep up the good work.

    • Right now I’m leaning towards Jared’s lineup. And my fallback if Leonard doesn’t play is to substitute Copeland for him and then upgrade Varejao to Hibbert. Thoughts?

      • I’m certainly not the expert these guys are, but I can show you what I did, and maybe you’ll get some ideas or find something else you like. I kept Brad’s lineup all the way down to Leonard. I pulled him, Duncan, & Love out. I plugged in Pau Gasol from Jared’s lineup, then was able to pick up both Greg Monroe & Josh Smith with the extra $$$ I saved. I’m playing light action on this lineup tonight, so I’m not going to sweat it if I hurt myself by pulling Leonard. He may play, but I won’t be around to change my lineup if something happens where he doesn’t.

  2. Very close on the lineups. After going over them though, I’d have to go with Brad’s lineup. Although I do like Teague a bit more than Kyrie Irving tonight, and I have zero success with Varejao. I’d be comfortable with either one.

  3. what’s the word on Kawhi Leonards blurred vision…anybody know? Scares me to use him if he can’t see all the way.

    • Sounds like it’s been there all along – it has just now come to light through his interview. If you don’t want to run Leonard – you can tinker to find the $ for Heyward, or you can sub in Shumpert or Copeland and use the $ elsewhere to upgrade.

  4. i used jared’s lineup and won two $25 and $50 50/50s with 257.1 FDP

  5. Turns out Kawhi played and had the best game of his season so far. Glad I ended up running him in the end – helped me find my way into the money in a couple big 50-50 wins! Hope you guys all had a good night, too. Stay tuned for Nov 11 picks later this morning.
